For our next Meet the Matern Team installment, get to know more about Kelly Evans. She’s quickly transitioned into her role as Staffing Coordinator after graduating from the University of Mary Washington. Kelly brightens the office with her outgoing personality and hunger to gain experience. She delights in meeting new people and helping candidates land their next career. 
Did you have any personal accomplishments during Covid?
Yes, I was able to graduate a semester early from UMW earning my Bachelors, despite having very little time to adjust to virtual learning.
Would you rather be a public speaker or a shark diver?
I would rather be a public speaker.
What’s on your summer bucket list?
I would like to travel to a new state or country with my friends.
What’s your favorite breakfast cereal?
Unfortunately, I’m not a cereal person. I prefer waffles or pancakes.
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
My go to productivity trick is by focusing on the why and looking at the progress that’s been made when I come to something that stumps me.
What was your dream job when you were a kid?
My dream job when I was a kid was to be a history teacher.
What are you reading or watching right now?
I am currently reading “Beneath a Scarlet Sky,” by Mark Sullivan.
What’s your favorite way to relax after the work week?
My favorite way to relax after the work week is visiting Downtown Fredericksburg with my friends over the weekend. I also love to attend Nationals games with my family and friends.
