Matern Staffing is hiring a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor at a perimeter barrier engineering and manufacturing facility in Spotsylvania, VA. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing shift operations, supporting production goals, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
This is a contract-to-hire position for 2nd shift. Typical hours are 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM, with availability required from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM as needed.
Salary:
$28 – $29/hr
Schedule:
Available Monday – Saturday between 6 pm and 6 am
What You’ll Do: 
- Monitor daily production goals and adjust workflow as needed to keep operations on track
- Track time and attendance, ensuring proper staffing levels and accountability across the shift
- Issue and manage PPE to ensure all employees are compliant with safety requirements
- Coach and counsel employees on performance, attendance, and workplace expectations
- Communicate shift priorities and expectations clearly to the team
- Collaborate with leadership to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to production and workforce activity
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coach and develop employees
- Ability to manage time, attendance, and shift priorities effectively
- Commitment to safety and enforcing workplace standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work a flexible 2nd shift schedule, including extended hours as needed
