Matern Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Technician (job order 4065) for a leading provider of custom wood packaging solutions at a manufacturing facility in Mineral, VA. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to keep production running safely and efficiently. Working closely with the Plant Manager, you’ll support preventive maintenance programs, respond to equipment issues, and help ensure a safe, high-performing manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 6am-3pm
Salary:
Starting at $20/hr., depending on experience

What You’ll Do: 
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues to minimize equipment downtime
- Maintain and repair production hand tools, including pneumatic and electric reciprocating saws and nail guns
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs on forklifts and yard shuttle trucks
- Complete work orders accurately and document maintenance activities in a timely manner
- Assist with scheduling and executing preventative maintenance tasks
- Coach team members on the proper use and basic maintenance of production equipment
What You’ll Need:
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely use common maintenance tools
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Working knowledge of industrial air compressors and related equipment
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining quality standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
