Precast Concrete Manufacturer
Matern Staffing is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor for a concrete manufacturer in King George, VA. As an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll lead the maintenance efforts that keep production moving – ensuring the equipment, systems, and infrastructure behind essential concrete products operate safely and efficiently. In this role, you’ll implement and manage a preventative maintenance program, coordinate repairs, supervise maintenance staff, and work with vendors and contractors to support operational productivity, equipment reliability, and safety standards.
This is a contract-to-hire role requiring strong hands-on leadership, industrial equipment knowledge, and the ability to effectively prioritize work in a production-driven manufacturing environment.
Salary:
- $38-$41/hr
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 7am – 3:30pm
What You’ll Do: 
- Lead daily maintenance operations across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient plant performance
- Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and reliability of production equipment including mixers, batching systems, conveyors, forklifts, cranes, and related precast manufacturing equipment
- Implement preventive maintenance practices and conduct routine inspections to identify issues early and reduce unplanned downtime
- Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians while supporting the development of standardized maintenance procedures and best practices
- Coordinate maintenance work with production schedules to minimize operational disruption and support overall plant productivity
- Manage maintenance inventory, including ordering and tracking parts, tools, and supplies to ensure availability of critical resources
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors while supporting capital improvement, infrastructure projects, and equipment removal initiatives to improve efficiency, safety, and asset longevity
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, heavy industrial or precast concrete environment
- 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and preventative programs including mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and welding
- Familiarity with plant equipment such as mixers, batching systems, conveyors, forklifts, overhead cranes, and hydraulic systems
- Physical stamina for demanding work, including standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating equipment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and maintenance tracking systems preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
