Precast Concrete Manufacturer
Matern Staffing is hiring a Batch Plant Operator (job order 3893) for a concrete manufacturer in King George, VA. As a Batch Plant Operator, you’ll work closely with the QC Manager to manage raw materials, maintain large mixers, and ensure consistent, high-quality concrete production. Your work will directly support the creation of durable infrastructure that communities rely on every day.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, willing to learn, and comfortable with overtime. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Salary:
$25-$30/hr
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00–8:00am, with shifts typically ending between 7:00–8:00pm (overtime as needed)
What You’ll Do: 
- Batch and mix concrete products according to established production and quality standards
- Monitor aggregate bins, admixture tanks, temperatures, and material levels to keep production running efficiently
- Follow all safety procedures and promptly report hazards, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervisors
- Complete required production and shift documentation accurately and on time
- Clean and maintain mixers, conveyors, hoppers, pits, and batching areas to support safe and efficient operations
- Support plant operations by assisting team members and operating forklifts or other equipment as needed
What You’ll Need:
- Previous experience in concrete manufacturing, batching, construction, or a similar industrial environment is strongly encouraged
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to
- Physical stamina for demanding work, including standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating equipment
- Reliability, adaptability, and communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are preferred
