Ginni Matern, a proud Virginia Native, is from Stafford and an alumna of North Stafford High School. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies, earned while showcasing her athletic prowess as a two-sport athlete and all-state lacrosse player at Ferrum College. After completing her education, Ginni embarked on a decade-long career in the staffing and healthcare industries within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Ginni’s formative years of hard work and her dedication to competitive sports in college instilled in her the values of discipline, teamwork, and ambition. These qualities would prove invaluable on her entrepreneurial journey as she assumed the role of President & Founder of Matern Staffing, a third generation staffing agency headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA with a service reach extending to Virginia, Maryland, and beyond.
Ginni’s proactive business approach, unwavering commitment to clients and employees, openness to innovation, and unwavering pursuit of high standards lay the bedrock for Matern Staffing and the basis for its excellent reputation within the Fredericksburg business community. Throughout the region, Ginni is dedicated to forging partnerships with businesses and organizations that align with Matern Staffing’s mission of fortifying the workforce by connecting job seekers with the region’s premier companies.
Ginni’s active involvement includes serving on the Board of the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce, Truist Advisory Board, Spotsylvania Economic Development Board, GO Virginia Region 6 Council, and the Bay Consortium Workforce Development Board. She is a graduate of Leadership Fredericksburg’s 2020 class and actively sponsors and speaks at community and business events. Ginni has received the CNEW’s Laurie A. Wideman Enterprising Woman’s Award and UMW Center for Economic Development Meta R. Braymer Women Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Matern Staffing also achieved the 2025 Top Employer for Intern award for the Virginia Talent + Opportunity Partnership for Region 6.
