Matern Staffing is hiring a Truss Assembler for a leading building materials manufacturer in Fredericksburg, VA. In this role, you’ll build roof and floor trusses by accurately measuring, assembling, and securing materials according to production specifications. If you have a construction background, enjoy hands-on work, and like building things that make a difference, this is a great opportunity to grow your skills.
This is a contract-to-hire position with 1st shift hours (7am-4pm). Forklift experience is a plus, but not required.

What You’ll Do:
What You’ll Do:- Build roof and floor trusses according to production specifications and customer orders
- Read work orders, drawings, blueprints, and set-up sheets to accurately assemble products
- Measure and cut materials with precision using tape measures, hand tools, and power tools
- Assemble wood components while maintaining quality and production standards
- Inspect completed trusses to ensure they meet quality specifications
- Safely move materials throughout the production area; operate a forklift if certified (training available)
What You’ll Need:
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, nail guns
- Strong measuring and mathematical skills to help with quick and accurate measurements and calculations to the 32nd of an inch
- Strong attention to detail with great follow-through to ensure accuracy, safety, and comprehensiveness
- Positive self-starter with a proactive approach, excellent time management, and prioritization skills
- Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
