Matern Staffing is hiring a Rental Sales Representative with a material handling company in Chesapeake, VA. As the Rental Sales Representative, you’ll play a key role in expanding the client’s rental business with general construction customers across the region.

Salary:
- $50,000 base + commission

What You’ll Do:
- Build and manage relationships with construction contractors, jobsite foremen, and project managers to grow rental business
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for equipment rentals in the general construction sector
- Create tailored rental proposals based on jobsite needs and equipment requirements
- Work closely with the Rental and Service departments to ensure equipment availability and customer satisfaction
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to maintain visibility and strengthen customer relationships
- Stay informed on construction project timelines and upcoming opportunities in the region
- Attend sales training and industry events to sharpen product knowledge and sales strategies
What You’ll Need:
- 3+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in rental equipment or construction-related industries
- Strong knowledge of construction equipment such as telehandlers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and related tools
- Comfortable working in and around active construction sites
- Highly motivated and organized, with a track record of hitting sales targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus
