Matern Staffing is hiring a Podcast Producer & Editor Intern for a public utility organization in Fredericksburg, VA. As part of the Communications & Public Relations team, you’ll help shape a brand-new podcast series—from pitching episode ideas and booking guests to writing scripts and editing audio.

It is a hybrid role with part-time hours (15–25 hours/week), perfect for students eager to gain real-world media production experience.
Salary & Schedule:

What You’ll Do:
What You’ll Do:- Help develop a brand-new podcast from concept to final cut
- Research topics and write compelling interview questions
- Book and coordinate podcast guests
- Record, edit, and produce engaging podcast episodes
- Assist with publishing episodes across digital platforms and promoting them through social media
- Maintain organized audio files and content calendars
- Collaborate with the communications team on storytelling and outreach strategies
What You’ll Need:
- Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a degree program in communications, journalism, media production, English, or a related field (3.0 GPA or higher preferred)
- A passion for storytelling through audio
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- A self-starter mindset with creativity and curiosity at the core
