Matern Staffing is hiring a General Laborer (job order 3941) for a building materials company in Fredericksburg, VA. As a General Laborer, you’ll start by supporting clean-up and organization efforts in the warehouse and have the opportunity to grow into expanded roles with more responsibility. This is a great position for someone who takes pride in their work and is looking to build a long-term career in warehouse operations. Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
Salary:
$17-$18/hr
Schedule:
This is a contract-to-hire position, Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm
What You’ll Do: 
- Perform general warehouse clean-up, including sweeping, removing debris, and organizing materials
- Dispose of trash and scrap materials safely and properly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
- Assist with basic warehouse tasks as needed
- Operate forklift (if certified) to move materials
What You’ll Need:
- Prior warehouse experience preferred
- Forklift experience a plus, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
- Must wear steel-toe boots
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials as needed
- Positive attitude, solid work ethic, and good team collaboration
