Matern Staffing is currently hiring a General Laborer for a concrete manufacturer in Bowling Green, VA. As a General Laborer, you’ll help keep production moving through bagging and preparing gravel products that customers rely on every day. This is a short-term opportunity expected to last a few months as production ramps up, but strong performers may have the chance to move into long-term roles.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, likes staying active, and takes pride in being part of a hardworking team. Whether you’re looking to gain experience or prove yourself for what’s next, this is a great place to start.
Salary:
$18/hr
Schedule:
Mon thru Saturday, 6am-2:30pm
What You’ll Do: 
- Bag, stack, and move gravel products throughout the shift
- Support bulk bag production and material handling
- Assist on main bagging lines as needed
- Perform consistent manual lifting and stacking
- Monitor product quality and report any issues
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
What You’ll Need:
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive lifting and stacking (up to 50 lbs)
- Reliable and ready to work in a busy, production-driven team environment
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and take on different tasks as needed
