Matern Staffing is hiring a Forklift Operator Driver at a national building materials supplier in Culpeper, VA to pull lumber orders for the Yard department. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in forklift operation, with additional experience in handling lumber being highly advantageous.
Drive machines, transport materials, and support the country’s economic growth! As a Forklift Driver you’ll efficiently move the materials to ensure customer orders are accurate and on time! This is a day shift position with hours 7am-3:30pm.
Salary:
- $16 per hour
Schedule:
- 7am-3:30pm, Monday thru Friday
What You’ll Do as a Forklift Driver:
What You’ll Do as a Forklift Driver:- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to pull lumber based on customer orders
- Accurately prepare and organize orders for delivery or pickup
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment in compliance with safety regulations
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure proper operation
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to fulfill order requirements promptly.
- Verify materials loaded match invoice or requisition
What You’ll Need as a Forklift Driver:
- Strong forklift experience
- Lumber handling experience is highly preferred
- Strong attention to detail with great follow-through to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness
- Good knowledge of industrial equipment
- Proactively approaches situations with excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals across all levels of an organization
