Matern Staffing is hiring an Electrical Assembler III with a systems and equipment manufacturer of the plastics industry in Fredericksburg, VA 

As an Electrical Assembler III, you’ll play a key role in assembling and wiring electrical control panels for production equipment. Working under the guidance of a supervisor or team leader, you’ll ensure components are properly installed, tested, and meet quality standards. If you enjoy working with your hands, solving electrical puzzles, and bringing control panels to life, this is the role for you! 

Salary:

  • $15 per hour

Schedule:

  • Mon. – Thurs. 6:00 am to 3:30 pm
  • Fri. – 6:00 am to 10:00 am

Electrical Assembler working on the control panelWhat You’ll Do as Electrical Assembler III:

  • Assemble component parts for products according to established specifications and quality standards 
  • Fasten parts together using bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners 
  • Fit, trim, align, and adjust parts and components as needed 
  • Solder, lug, route, and tie electrical components 
  • Calibrate units according to specifications 
  • Test installed parts and accessories for functionality 
  • Perform inspections to ensure assemblies comply with requirements 
  • Disassemble and replace parts as required 
  • Rework, repair, or replace faulty components 

What You’ll Need: 

  • High School Diploma/GED 
  • 1-3 years of related experience 
  • Knowledge of circuits and electronics and ability to read electrical schematics 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills 
  • Basic computer skills for accessing system files and dispatch lists 
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment 
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
