Assembler (day shift)

Matern Staffing is hiring an Assembler (job id 2999) for a consumer environment design/manufacturer in Fredericksburg, VA. This is a contract-to-hire position with first shift hours.

As an Assembler you’ll use your skills and attention to detail to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products. Salary:

• $16.50/hr 

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm 

What You’ll Do as an Assembler:

• Preps work area according to setup instructions and equipment inspection checklist, reporting any concerns if applicable
• Operates hand tools and accurately fits parts together according to instructions and quality standards
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
• Maintains accurate and complete production records
• Verifies materials and finished products comply with quality standards

What You’ll Need as an Assembler:

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required 
• Prior manufacturing/assembly experience is preferred 
• Proficient at basic math skills and reading ruler measurements
• Strong attention to detail with great follow-through to ensure accuracy, comprehensiveness, and safety 
• Comes prepared, focused, and dedicated to uphold the values and goals of the company
