New Beginnings Amid Plant Shutdown

Global Food Manufacturer

When a large food manufacturing plant closed in the fall of 2023, Matern Staffing mobilized its resources to provide new beginnings to over 165 employees across nearly 10 businesses around the Greater Fredericksburg area. By providing continued employment, Matern eased employees’ employment woes while employers around the area regained a broad range of skilled professionals. Through extensive interviews, collaborating with the closing plant, and partnering with local clients Matern was able to match skill sets with opportunities. Amid adversity, Matern Staffing, the employees, and the employers built a stronger community

I am genuinely grateful for the care and effort Matern Staffing invested in our employees. Their support has turned what could have been a setback into a stepping stone for new beginnings. – Kent Z., Plant Manager
