FREDERICKSBURG, VA, September 2, 2025 – Matern Staffing is proud to announce Larry Charity, a Kitchen Lead from Fredericksburg, VA, has been named a finalist for the American Staffing Association’s National Staffing Employee of the Year Award.
When his food manufacturing employer of 26 years closed, Larry leaned on Matern Staffing to bridge him to a new opportunity that fit his skills and values. Now serving as Kitchen Lead, he has embraced change with resilience and positivity while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Beyond his own success, Larry stands out as a mentor and ambassador, fostering teamwork, respect, and encouragement among employees. His story reflects the staffing industry’s ability to provide access to new careers and transform challenges into growth.
The National Staffing Employee of the Year program recognizes the most outstanding temporary and contract workers in the country. In 2023, U.S. staffing companies employed 2.2 million temporary and contract workers; Larry Charity is one of just nine finalists to be recognized in the country.
