Matern Staffing is hiring a Social Media & Digital Content Creator Intern for a public utility organization in Fredericksburg, VA. This isn’t just about likes and follows—it’s about creating meaningful content that captures real moments and builds community connection. As a Social Media & Digital Content Creator, you’ll help produce short-form videos, behind-the-scenes stories, and visually engaging posts that resonate across social media platforms.

Salary & Schedule:

What You’ll Do:
What You’ll Do:- Create scroll-stopping short-form videos (Reels, Stories)
- Capture behind-the-scenes footage at events, in the office, and out in the field
- Design branded graphics, take original photos, and write punchy captions
- Plan and schedule posts across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X
- Monitor engagement and recommend content adjustments based on trends and insights
- Contribute to campaign brainstorming sessions and pitch creative ideas
- Help organize and maintain a digital content library
What You’ll Need:
- Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a degree program in marketing, communications, graphic design, digital media, or a related field (3.0 GPA or higher preferred)
- Proven ability to create social-first content, especially video
- Eye for design and knowledge of visual trends on social media
- Strong writing and storytelling skills
- Creative, collaborative, and ready to take initiative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- A self-starter mindset with creativity and curiosity at the core
