Matern Staffing is hiring a Production QA Tech at a global food manufacturer in Stafford, VA.
As a Production QA Tech, it’ll be your responsibility to complete food inspections, testing, and reporting to ensure high quality finished goods. You’ll use your strong attention to detail to ensure finished food products meet precise weights, temperature checks, labeling and more.
Salary:
- $19+/hr
Schedule:
- Start Time is 2:00 AM – 12:30 PM, 10-hr shifts
What You’ll Do as a Production QA:
- Samples, checks and records net weights on meal boxes, rice bowls, sandwiches, side dishes and more finished products
- Tests incoming ingredients for temperatures, expiration dates, counts and weights
- Verifies correct labeling, coding and packaging on finished products
- Follows and enforces GMP’s and food safety, USDA, HACCP, SSOP
- Performs health and sanitation checks
- Collaborates with Lead about preventative or corrective solutions
- Performs preparatory and preventive duties
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail with great follow-through to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness
- Strong computer skills to ensure accurate and efficient record keeping
- Exceptional verbal and written skills for communicating effectively with team members and supervisors
- Enjoys learning how things work and has a curiosity for brainstorming process improvements and finding/implementing solutions
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and withstand cold environment
