Matern Staffing is hiring a General Laborer for a concrete manufacturer in King George, VA.
As a General Laborer for a precast concrete manufacturer, you’re a crucial part in delivering high-quality concrete products and peace of mind to customers. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who have a strong attention to detail and are eager to learn and develop new skills in the concrete manufacturing industry.
This is a contract-to-hire position with first shift hours.
Salary:
- $18/hr
Schedule:
- Monday thru Friday, 7am until 3:30pm
What You’ll Do as General Laborer:
What You’ll Do as General Laborer:- Prep forms and assist with all stages of concrete production
- Build and assemble molds, pour and finish concrete to meet specifications
- Perform finishing tasks such as troweling, stamping, raking, and inserting lifting anchors
- Use pneumatic shears to trim mesh
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient, high-quality production
What You’ll Need as General Laborer:
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive self-starter with a proactive approach, excellent time management, and prioritization skills
- Good calculation and measuring skills
- Willingness to adapt and learn new skills or processes
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs with repetitive bending and kneeling
- Must own and wear steel-toed boots for safety on the job site
