Matern Staffing is hiring a Forklift Operator Driver (job id 3306) at a national building materials supplier in Fredericksburg, VA to pull lumber orders for the Yard department.
Drive machines, transport materials, and support the country’s economic growth! As an experienced Forklift Operator, you’ll use your background to efficiently pull orders and move the materials to ensure they’re reading for shipping.
Salary:
- $16+ per hour
Schedule:
- 7am-4:30pm, Monday thru Friday
What You’ll Do as a Forklift Driver:
What You’ll Do as a Forklift Driver:- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to pull lumber based on customer orders
- Accurately prepare and organize orders for delivery or pickup
- Load and unload shipments and materials
- Pull and prepare customer orders for pickup or delivery
- Input inventory records and transactions into warehouse database and route paperwork accordingly
- Ensure product/material inventory levels and locations are correct
What You’ll Need as a Forklift Driver:

High school diploma or GED

Previous forklift experience preferred

Strong attention to detail with great follow-through to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness

Good knowledge of industrial equipment

Proactively approach situations with excellent time management and prioritization skills

Ability to communicate effectively with individuals across all levels of an organization
