Matern Staffing is hiring a Customer Service Representative in Fredericksburg, VA to support a transportation safety membership organization.
The Customer Success Representative will be the first point of contact and impression when customers have exceptional customer service over the phone. Sure, some days will be hectic, but knowing you’re someone the customer trusts to help them with their questions, registrations, and concerns makes all the difference. You’ll balance your efficient work habits with your friendly personality to assist customers with certification questions, training registrations, general membership inquiries and more.
This is a hybrid work position with initial required in-office training.
Salary & Schedule:
- $21/hr
- Hybrid work schedule, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
What You’ll Do:
- Provides a positive customer experience when fielding incoming calls about membership, traffic safety, certifications, conventions, chapter events, benefits, and foundation programs
- Ensures low drop call and transfer call rate by quickly answering questions, updating caller information, and providing certification status updates
- Fields calls and processes training course registrations for individuals and groups
- Updates the flagger database accordingly
- Accurately records registration applications, certifications, re-certifications, and trainings into systems
- Collaborates with teammates to complete assigned project tasks
- Occasionally staffs the reception desk, responding to and routing customer service emails and voicemails
What You’ll Need:
- Previous experience in a customer call center or membership association preferably
- Strong data entry and computer skills (e.g. MS Office, databases) to help with quick and accurate typing and processing
- Strong attention to detail with great follow-through to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness
- Calmly and efficiently adapts, sees the potential for opportunity when challenges present themselves
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and teammates
- Friendly & positive personality for communicating with customers, members, prospectives, and teammates
- Positive self-starter with a proactive approach, excellent time management, and prioritization skills
- Ability to pass background check
