Staffing Coordinator

Kori Meyers grew up in the Maryland countryside before moving to the Fredericksburg area. She credits her move to her desire for gaining experience through challenge and growth opportunities. When it comes to learning and growing, she likes to take the bull by the horns and charge. 

Before joining Matern, Kori started as a crew member at a prominent restaurant. Shortly after starting, they quickly promoted her to General Manager. Then, she became the restaurant’s second corporate-wide Recruiting and Community Event Coordinator. In this new corporate role, she gained valuable recruiting and hiring experience.  

When Covid hit, she left the hospitality industry in search of a recruitment position with a better work-life balance. This balance also included her goal of attending school part-time. Applying her recruitment experience across a variety of clients for Matern Staffing piqued her interest. On a day-to-day basis she interviews candidates to understand their work history and experience to place them in the right position. She enjoys connecting with clients about potential candidates, sourcing the next great candidate and collaborating with team members to think outside the box. Kori feels enriched when she finds the right fit for the right person and watches them grow.

When she is not working, she finds time for new adventures with family and friends or knits her heart away with her cats curled up closely. She is a few semesters away from graduating from Germanna Community College with an Associate degree.
