Showroom Design Manufacturer
Matern Staffing is hiring a Quality Control Inspector for a consumer environment design/manufacturer in Fredericksburg, VA. As a Quality Control Inspector, you’ll ensure materials meet quality and compliance standards through your excellent attention to detail. If something misses the mark, you’ll assertively communicate the issue and look for solutions to improve quality assurance.
This is a contract-to-hire position with first shift hours.

Monday thru Friday, 7am-3:30pm
What You’ll Do as a Quality Control Inspector:
-
Completes visual and measurement inspections throughout manufacturing cycle (receiving, production cutting, assembly, packaging, storage, and shipping)

Uses existing work instructions and guidelines to complete inspections

Ensures operations remain within acceptable tolerances as documented

Identifies and documents nonconformities and defects and collaborates with production staff to address and resolve quality issues

Assists in the investigation of all quality issues and/or occurrences and ensures that corrective measures are implemented

Maintains detailed records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions
What You’ll Need as a Quality Control Inspector:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Quality Management, a related area, or equivalent experience required.

1-2 years of previous experience in quality control or quality assurance

Strong attention to detail

Active listener who collaborates and communicates effectively with teammates, always ready to step in to help

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Forklift training or license (preferred)
