Matern Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Technician (job id #2212) at a cabinetry manufacturing plant in Culpeper, VA.
When important equipment stops working the Maintenance Technician becomes the hero! As a Maintenance Technician you’ll use your curiosity and knowledge of mechanical workings to schedule, troubleshoot, support, and fix equipment. You’ll also supply strategic recommendations to improve process efficiency and output.
Salary:
- $25-$27/hr
- Weekly pay with benefits
Schedule:
- 6am to 4pm (Monday thru Friday)
What You’ll Do:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Inspect and test machinery and equipment to identify potential issues
- Follow maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Collaborate with other team members to complete maintenance projects
- Document all maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of industrial mechanics, electrical systems, and logic controllers
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
