Precast Concrete Manufacturer
Matern Staffing is hiring a Lead Fabricator (job order 3901) at a precast concrete manufacturing facility in King George, VA. In this hands-on role, you’ll support daily fabrication and welding operations, fabricating and modifying forms and components while helping coordinate workflow across the team. You’ll work closely with the Plant Manager and Project Manager to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety across production.

Salary:
$30-$33/hr, depending on experience
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7am – 3:30pm
What You’ll Do: 
- Perform hands-on fabrication, welding, and modification work for precast concrete production
- Coordinate daily workflow for Fabricators and Helpers to support production goals
- Review shop drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication and quality standards
- Partner with leadership to support project timelines, production schedules, and workflow efficiency
- Troubleshoot fabrication issues and communicate production concerns as needed
- Operate and maintain fabrication tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
- Support training and day-to-day guidance for less experienced team members
What You’ll Need:
- 4+ years of fabrication and welding experience in a manufacturing, steel, or precast environment
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and measurements accurately
- Proficiency in stick welding and experience using fabrication tools and cutting equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail
- Experience supporting workflow coordination and working in a team-oriented shop environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work around machinery, dust, noise, and varying temperatures
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Ability to pass drug and background screening
