IT Specialist

Matern Staffing is hiring an IT Specialist for a transportation safety membership organization in Fredericksburg, Va. As the IT Specialist you’ll maintain internal systems and data, provide end user support, and maintain accurate inventory of technology equipment. 

The IT Specialist will be an important contact when systems, databases, and end user challenges arise. The IT Specialist will balance their efficient work habits and strong expertise with their friendly personality to assist end users and troubleshoot system and database problems. 

Salary: $65,000-$75,000/year 

Schedule: Hybrid

What you will Do:  

• Administers, configures, and maintains client’s Association Management System and integrated support systems and portals 
• Troubleshoots and resolves internal help desk issues with the AMS, website and other systems remotely and/or on-site 
• Works with third-party help desk vendor to quickly and efficiently resolve tickets, IT on-boarding, and off-boarding activities 
• Provides training to new and existing staff on the AMS, Office 365 tools, cyber security, and other platforms as needed 

• Provides on-site help desk support twice monthly or as directed 
• Deploys, configures and tracks all new and replacement assets (PC, laptops, mobile, printer devices, etc) 
• Supports IT projects such as data backups, disaster recovery planning, developing SOPs, training manuals, security improvements, annual budget planning 

What You Will Need: 

• Preferred: degree in information technology management and experience in Dynamic 365 Sales or another Association Management System; combination of at least 3 years’ experience and education may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree 
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues (hardware, software, peripherals, mobile) remotely or on-site 
• Strong knowledge of Office 365 and Windows 10/11 systems 

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for clearly documenting and interpreting difficult concepts for broader audiences 
• Calmly and efficiently adapts, sees the potential for opportunity when challenges present themselves, and is willing to step in to help 
• Proactively learns about new technologies, apps, hardware, and best practices that may be beneficial to the company  
• Approaches situations with excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills
