Matern Staffing is hiring a Field Services Lead – Automation & Equipment for a global equipment manufacturing company. As the Field Services Lead – Automation & Equipment, you’ll lead a traveling installation team while working hands-on to install complex industrial equipment systems at client sites across the U.S.
You’ll coordinate with internal project managers, serve as the on-site customer point of contact, and ensure the installation process is completed safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards.
This is a direct hire position with regular travel.
Salary:
- $65,000K – $85,000K, based on experience
Travel:
- Required, including weekends
Schedule:
- Full-time, OT eligible
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and coordinate the daily work of a traveling installation team, including subcontractors when needed
- Act as the customer liaison on job sites—attend meetings, communicate progress, and confirm project completion
- Travel by vehicle or plane to customer sites for multi-day installation projects
- Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards and site requirements
- Supervise site activities including receiving shipments, staging materials, using lifts and cranes, and managing sub-contractors
- Track job progress and submit daily or project-based reports
- Work with project managers to communicate tool, part, and resource needs
- Perform work at the company facility when not deployed to a job site
What You’ll Need:
- Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred or ability to obtain one)
- 5+ years of relevant industrial or construction experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of process equipment, piping systems, and industrial machinery installation
- OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain) and commitment to enforcing safety practices
- Proven ability to read and interpret flow diagrams, ISO drawings, and site layouts
- Effective communicator who can interface with customers and cross-functional teams
- Forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift certification (or ability to obtain)
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Physical ability to perform installation work for 8–12 hours/day, including working at heights or in industrial settings
