Matern Staffing is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for a nonprofit store in Orange, VA. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with store operations, supporting sales goals, and providing an exceptional shopping experience for customers.
 
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to support and motivate staff effectively. Assistant store manager reviewing financialsWhat You’ll Do:  

  • Assist the manager with budgeting, sales, expenses, and profit goals
  • Reinforces accurate and timely payroll entry, sales, and production reports and scheduling
  • Oversees and assures wares are processed and put on sales floor every 15 minutes
  • Supports manager with hiring, supervising, training, monitoring performance, leave requests, and scheduling of employees
  • Reinforces employees’ development through cross-training initiatives to build depth and grow skills-base
  • Follows company policies and procedures to enforce company’s mission and maintain a safe work environment

What You’ll Need:   

  • High School diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience in a Retail Management
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with a track record of proactive problem resolution
  • Calmly and efficiently adapts, sees the potential for opportunity when challenges present themselves
  • Friendly & positive personality for engaging with customers and driving excellent customer service
  • Strong communication and leadership skills for interacting with and developing employees
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds
