For our next Behind the Desk installment, get to know more about Jenna Hudspeth. She’s the newest fresh face of our team, handling all the front office duties.
Describe your current role at Matern Staffing in a few sentences.
I am the Administrative Support Specialist responsible for performing office duties such as answering phone calls, faxing/scanning, scheduling appointments, and answering emails. When potential employees contact us, I provide them with directions to our office, and company website or other related information. I greet applicants as they come in and assist them with completing the online job application.

What do you like most about your job?
I love the people I work with. They are such beautiful people and so willing to help others and make people feel at home. I love the fact that this company gives back to the community and makes a difference in people’s lives.
Where did you grow up?
I was born in Kingsville, TX but moved to Virginia when I was 7 years old.
What’s the best piece of advice you have for job seekers?
Work hard and always stay positive!

Energetic, positive and funny
What are your 3 favorite local restaurants?
Mexico Restaurant, Mi Jalisco and Olive Garden – can you tell I love mexican food?
What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend?
Working out and spending time with friends and family
Where do you most want to travel, but have never been?
Anywhere there is a beach would make me happy!
Are you more of a college or professional football fan? Fave team?
I do not watch football!
What’s on your bucket list this year?
To spend more time with my family and to try something new or something that terrifies me. You don’t grow as a person if you never get out of your comfort zone, and I have been in my comfort zone for way too long!
What is the most played song on your music list?
I don’t have just one – I love anything I can dance to!
